IQVIA is recruiting in the North of England and Scotland  for highly motivated and experienced Hospital Sales Representative to work within Ophthalmology 

The Specialist Hospital Sales Representative is a secondary care focused sales role, serving as a scientific resource for our client (including thought leaders, external clinicians, and other internal and external stakeholders).  The Hospital Sales Representative is a true therapy area expert, responsible for delivery and legitimate high-level exchange of on-label medical and scientific information. 

  

As a Specialist Hospital Sales Representative, your main functions will be to: 

  

  • Proactively drive Thought Leader interactions - build and develop the medication brand advocacy across its licensed indications. Specialist Hospital Sales Representatives will focus most of their activities on specific customer groups or indications to support the brand strategy. 
  • Coordinate and deliver medical and scientific educational activities in Key Target Accounts. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value to customers and patients through the ethical and compliant delivery of ouclient’s sponsored services 
  • Maintain true expert level therapy and product knowledge, commercial skills and an understanding of the NHS and commercial environment both nationally and locally.  
  • Continuing self-education and training   
  • Productive & effective team working and communication between Regional team members to maximise sales outcomes in line with Account plan and TL development plans. 
  • Protect and add value to our client and its customers by ensuring activities always comply with all relevant SOPs related to the ABPI code of practice. 
  • Operate within ABPI Code and Corporate Compliance. Non-promotional activities must be kept separate from promotional activity. 

Qualifications

  • MSc degree / healthcare qualification is required
  • Therapeutic area expertise / product educational background experience is preferred
  • Excellent intellectual ability both numerically and verbally

Experience

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop productive partnerships
  • High level of negotiation and ‘selling’ skills
  • Highly motivated with drive and determination to succeed and willingness to adapt to change
  • Proven ability to work independently and proactively
  • Fully conversant with the requirements of the ABPI code, PMCPA guidance and guidelines on company procedures
