Regional Therapy Expert - London & South East England
As a Regional Therapy Expert (RTE) you will be in a secondary care focused sales role, serving as a scientific resource for Bayer customers (including thought leaders, external clinicians, and other internal and external stakeholders). RTE’s need to be true therapy experts, responsible for delivery and legitimate high-level exchange of on-label medical and scientific information.
- TL interactions - international, national, regional, local
- Proactively and compliantly identify opportunities to add value to customers and patients through the ethical and compliant delivery of all procedures
- Provide and support medical information and responses to medical questions including unsolicited enquiries
- Coordination and delivery of medical and scientific educational activities
- Maintain true expert level therapy and product knowledge, commercial skills and an understanding of the NHS and commercial environment both nationally and locally
- Continuing self-education and training
- Formulary presentations on request
- Proactively identify opportunities to add value to customers and patients through the ethical and compliant delivery of Bayer sponsored services
- Provide an expert resource to the rest of the field force
- Keep an accurate and updated record of all internal and external interactions
- Productive & effective team working and communication between cross functional team members to maximise sales outcomes.
- Protect and add value to Bayer and its customers by ensuring activities always comply with all relevant SOPs related to the ABPI code of practice
Qualifications
- Life Science degree/healthcare qualification is required
- Therapeutic area expertise/product educational background/experience is preferred
- Excellent intellectual ability both numerically and verbally
Experience
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to develop productive partnerships
- High level of negotiation and ‘selling’ skills
- Highly motivated with drive and determination to succeed and willingness to adapt to change
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively
- Fully conversant with the requirements of the ABPI code, PMCPA guidance and guidelines on company procedures
