Principle Medical Sales Representative – Cardiovascular

Location: Bucks, Berks, Oxon

Working in a field-based team selling HealthCare anticoagulation medicine in secondary care trusts. Achieve specific brand objectives in terms of sales & targeted activity, maximizing return on investment in the promoted product within a highly specialised group of customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Sell medicines, in a compliant manner, in the context of current NHS environment
  • Prepare & implement secondary care plans (which are driven by the Local Health Economy Plan) for target accounts and customers, with support from KAM and Regional Business Manager to achieve agreed sales targets
  • Maintain & update the plan to ensure its accuracy and effectiveness as a territory management tool
  • Monitor and review specific actions, within plans, as identified and agreed with RBM.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value to customers and patients through the ethical and compliant delivery of Bayer sponsored services
  • Manage customer activity plans in order to deliver targets and to ensure return on investment.
  • Build and execute secondary care key opinion leader development plans
  • Work with KAM and TMs to mobilise key opinion leaders across the local healthcare economy
  • Ensure KOLs deliver regular and impactful presentations in primary care
  • Focus activity on target customers and accounts.  Developing sales through account working in partnership with territory colleagues
  • Maintain high level therapy and product knowledge, selling skills and an understanding of the NHS and commercial environment both nationally and locally
  • Ensure professional and ethical commercialisation of national and local guidance
  • Productive & effective team working and communication between cross functional team members to maximise sales outcomes

Experience required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent/graduate caliber/qualified by experience /ABPI Qualified
  • High level of business planning, organisational & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to develop productive partnerships
  • High level of negotiation & selling skills
  • Highly motivated with drive & determination to succeed & willingness to adapt to change
  • Good intellectual ability both numerically and verbally
  • Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate pro-activity
  • Experienced sales professionals, therapy area & customer drivers: including commissioning pathways, funding streams, implementation of NICE guidance
