Practice Engagement Pharmacist

REPORTS TO: Manager, Regional Lead Pharmacist/ Associate Director

LOCATION: FIELD BASED WITH REGIONAL COVERAGE. Requirement to travel across a determined regional geography along with national travel as required to attend meetings.

As an Practice Engagement Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the delivery of all clinical, logistical and reporting functions relating to the successful completion of clinical reviews, as well as generating your own reviews to fill your own diary and colleagues’ diaries (either regionally or nationally).

You will lead by example with outstanding commercial awareness and by maximising opportunities at practice level or cascading further opportunity to the relevant team members. You will drive metrics and train newer pharmacists on clinical services, providing constructive feedback to the management team following each training event.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by organisational requirements / the business objectives of the organisation.

• To ensure efficient time management of authorised clinical projects within a set geographical area showing the ability to plan and prioritise both these projects and personal workload.
• To work alongside the Management Team to maximise uptake and then delivery of operational excellence in new services and within the region.
• To deliver optimum clinical outcomes for both patients and the HSE.
• To adhere to all clinical and information governance policies.
• To maintain strong communication skills, effectively transferring key information, to display the ability to influence and negotiate.
• To provide a professional and competent service that assists the company to develop and enhance client numbers and retention rates.
• To liaise with and support other team members and help them to integrate and contribute to the future development of the company.
• To know the business, to develop and maintain a full awareness of our key markets and our competitors, their business activities, initiatives and strategies.
• To identify and secure the sign up of clinical reviews at individual practice level, where there is clinical need.
• To complete CPD relevant to current activity and to support company strategy where appropriate.

• Community or primary care experience desirable
• Willing to travel as required, along with remote (home) working
