IQVIA is looking for a Medical Communications Senior Project Manager.

Job Overview

To plan, execute and deliver key project wins across a number of Medical Communications Service Lines within the MPC Team working with a range of Clients, Stakeholders, Internal Resources, Contributing Agencies and Vendors ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Ensure that all project work is completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and practices. To maintain and support the growth of existing business as assigned by providing operational support and by collaborating with internal departments and external vendors involved in project delivery.

Essential Functions

• Work with senior Client services team members and other internal teams contributing to the development and delivery of high quality programmes that meet the needs of Customers and Clients
• Project manage teams to deliver on all aspects of project activities including briefing, planning, scheduling, budgets, financial reviews and resourcing, ensuring the delivery of projects to agreed specification and quality
• Assess the scope of all assigned project activities / programmes and assist in identifying the range and depth of project management support necessary for achieving objectives
• Provide senior onsite project management support as required to include global travel as necessary
• Tactical delivery on all aspects of project briefing, planning, scheduling, budgets and resourcing; in collaboration with Account / Project Director review execution plans for all deliverables to ensure they meet the objectives of the client and are relevant to their target audiences. Ensure final sign-off on all projects before they go to client and or into production.
• Ensure the completion of set up and maintenance of all project documentation files and records taking responsibility for internal databases, tracking systems, and project plans with project specific information
• Responsible and accountable for all financial activities relating to project delivery such as developing budgets, supporting SOW development, raising invoices, monitoring on project spend, analysing timesheets and the ongoing forecasting of revenue for back to business reporting
• Along with the Account Teams, act as day to day client contact, as appropriate in collaboration with other Project Managers as necessary. Lead, contribute towards and attend project team meetings, including client teleconferences or face to face meetings as required. Tracking actions from meetings as appropriate and providing timely and regular updates to Account Teams on progress and actions as necessary
• Contribute to the growth of existing accounts by supporting senior Account Team members through the successful delivery of won business and by supporting key Client and Stakeholder relationships. To propose appropriate ideas and solutions around initiatives to support the growth of activities as appropriate with regard to new business opportunities
• Prepare presentation materials for meetings as required such as agendas, slide decks and proposals to support the successful project management of all activities in person and virtually as required
• Review and refine account / project processes and take responsibility for identifying new approaches / systems to improve efficiency and delivery of client work and IQVIA operations
• Delegate and brief in activities to team members as appropriate; coach and support the development of Project Managers, Senior Project Executives, Project Executives and Project Coordinators as appropriate. Assist in monitoring workloads and development opportunities of junior team members as appropriate

Qualifications


• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years project management experience within the pharmaceutical industry or agency environment or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Good knowledge of all aspects of key project management services including but not limited to live event logistics and technical support, design and production and digital and online
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organisation and leading and participating in teams
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to maintain demanding timelines, to be flexible and manage a range of changing priorities
• Proven Client handling skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and Clients
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities. Flexible personality and a quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including customer service and supplier management skills
• Strong finance skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate analysis to executable programs with defined goals. Must be able to articulate straightforward and elegant solutions
• Strong organisational, planning, project management and logistics skills
• Sound judgement and decision making skills
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
• Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance
• Mentoring / coaching skills
