Put your first-class sales skills to good use as a Key Account Manager specialising in Ophthalmology. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, passionate individual to make a difference at the cutting edge of the medical industry, establishing relationships with customers. You’ll be working across your territory to raise product awareness, in a role that will let you develop your career in the direction that you want it to take. The role will help you expand your therapeutic and clinical expertise, as well as help improve patient care and patient quality of life.

The Role:

  • Drive Sales growth. The Key Account Manager is accountable for leading sales growth in line with sales targets ensuring effective uptake and adherence of positive guidance.
  • Utilises market, customer and environmental insights to develop local account plans, translating these into both strategic and tactical levers.
  • Own the account objectives and monitor progress against the relevant Key Performance Indicators.
  • Defines the target customer lists which will drive the implementation of the account plan and ensures appropriate contact with these customers.
  • Develops key influencers in the target accounts to become advocates.
  • Identifies targets and develops advocacy in key influencers across the mental health trust and relevant primary and intermediary services.

Skills and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will have a solid understanding and track record of launching products and driving sales growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, communication should be reliable and swift.
  • Strong analytical and written skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues internally and externally.
  • Must be able to operate with a high level of personal accountability, sense of urgency and self-motivation.
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience of secondary care working, launching hospital products and proven track record of sales.
  • Broad based knowledge of the Pharmaceutical environment in Italy.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a territory business by engaging in strong customer relationships, customer targeting, managing call volumes and Advocate development.
  • Proven commercial acumen, with clear understanding of Key Account Management, the business market dynamics and the ability to accurately assess and convey market access intelligence to shape plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence relationships and leverage knowledge internally across a matrix structure, to optimise opportunities with customers and achieve shared goals.
  • Broad based knowledge of Ophthalmology is desirable but not essential.
  • Fluent in/first language Italian
  • Current driving licence
