IQVIA is currently recruiting a Branded Generics Key Account Manager to join our client’s expanding respiratory team in East Anglia and North London.
Please note this is a permanent position with one of our clients.
As Key Account Manager, you will have experience in branded generics where you will play a pivotal role in cultivating strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth with Heads of Medicines Management Committees and other influential stakeholders. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to our client’s organisation's success and make a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry.
You will have accountability for a designated geographical area with key emphasis on creating a positive environment for the uptake of products by developing and maintaining key relationships, with a wide range of customers, who can support business growth. Customer types will include, for example, Payers: Heads of medicines management and prescribing advisors, pharmacists (including retail, hospital, and clinical surgery-based pharmacists), prescribers etc.
Your Responsibilities as a Key Account Manager will be:
- Influence and lead key stakeholders, with particular focus on payers, to support the growth of respiratory products
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the local payer environment and their priorities to ensure company tactics and brand strategies are aligned to accordingly
- Monitor and identify trends in product usage and implement relevant tactics to ensure that the brand strategies and CSFs are delivered
- Attend national & local business meetings and also head office meetings to share best practice, discuss business plans and understand the overall strategic and tactical requirements
- Keep abreast of trends in commercial initiatives relevant to the pharmaceutical industry and ensure opportunities are maximised where relevant
- Maintain a regular supply of relevant medical, scientific and general information relating to products to support the key customer groups, using both internal and external information sources
- Negotiate and implement commercial terms for key customer accounts
- Where relevant, validate customer claims submitted for rebates and discounts against agreed commercial terms
- Positively represent and influence discussions with integrity within relevant professional and trade organisations to shape their thinking
- Work with the Business Unit Director and Brand Manager to identify initiatives that support the delivery of the brand plans
The ideal candidate:
- At least five years of branded generics experience as a Key Account Manager
- Respiratory experience desirable but not essential
- Experience in conversing with individuals at senior meds management level
- Ideally have existing ICS knowledge and relationships within the territory
- Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent
- ABPI qualified
- Ability to build positive relationships with all business partners
- Up-to-date knowledge of the customer environment, including NHS budgetary and planning processes
