Communications Specialist role – reporting to Director of Participant Experience.

Responsible for managing and executing communication and engagement plan for CIS to facilitate positive and prominent CIS organizational awareness and employee and business updates.  Leads on social media management in particular with monitoring and responding to social media queries for CIS; developing and maintaining  strong relationships with wider communications and marketing teams, provides key support to the Customer service team.

  • Monitoring of CIS social media issues and responding appropriately. Working closely with Customer Services and management team to support/train on social media and update on issue resolution
  • Writes, edits, and disseminates information to various audiences in alignment with IQVIA marketing and communications guidelines and third party guidelines, where appropriate
  • Prepares plans that detail the tactics to be employed in communicating news, developments, and propositions to each relevant audience
  • Plans optimal timing, progression, scope, and positioning of information released to internal or external audiences
  • Serves as an expert in selected communication specialty, able to offer training and advice, prepare support material for others, develop communication solutions to issues and advise on messaging
  • Maintains a close working relationship with local UK&I Marketing Manager, and RBU and Corp marcomms where appropriate
  • Stays abreast of developments inside and outside the organization that impact Company objectives and recommends appropriate communication activities in response
  • Manages project deadlines
  • Maintains a close working relationship with broader communications/marketing teams
  • Writes copy, edits copy, coordinates review and approval, and oversees production of materials for relevant   audiences
  • Role does not include writing press releases

Key attributes

  • Background in Internal communications; used to writing copy, writing organisational messages and dealing with the press
  • Social Media experience required
  • Customer experience / community management is a plus
  • Strong decision-making skills and issue resolution ability; appropriate escalation of issues- understand sensitivities of social media
  • Highly collaborative and excellent communication skills. Match IQVIA values.
  • Experience in fast paced environment key; managing projects and seeing things through to completion
