Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Nurse Educator

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a full-time Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team of over 10,000 global field personnel supporting our pharmaceutical and biotech clients

Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Nurse Educator - Provide education on proper injection technique, side effect management, and basic disease state education to customer-referred MS patients and their caregivers.

The Clinical Educator will provide focused home-based patient education regarding treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. Also provides specialized education and training to home health care agencies, physicians, nursing and office staff within a defined geographic region. Conduct training presentations to Multiple Sclerosis support groups regarding treatment of the disease. Occasional travel overnight for meeting attendance required. This is a full-time field-based position.

   

Requirements:

 

Education:

  • RN License Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience required
  • Experience with teaching injectable and/or chronic illness education
  • 2 years Multiple Sclerosis experience preferred
  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Experience delivering service-oriented solutions desirable
  • Home Health experience preferred
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Duties may require compliance with client requirements that all those performing services on-site be fully vaccinated

 

 Qualifications:

 

Demonstrates ability in the following:

  • Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation skills: formal and informal to large and small groups
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with virtual platforms (Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, Google Duo, What’s App, etc)

 

Able to:

  • Travel to meet the needs of the geographical territory
  • Provide virtual patient visits using a variety of platforms
  • Effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks
  • Assimilate and learn new information quickly
  • Adapt to a variety of clinical settings: academic, private office, community and patient home

  • Able to function independently with minimal day-to-day supervision and oversight
  • Experienced in territory management, prioritizing activities, time management
  • Enthusiastic, projects a positive attitude, and easily adapts to change
  • Knowledgeable of pharmaceutical industry

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide patients with clinical/educational information regarding management of Multiple Sclerosis and proper product administration.
  • Conduct individualized, compliant in-home patient teaching and training
  • Conduct virtual patient teaching and trainings when appropriate
  • Educate HCPs and their staff by:
    • Presenting formal and informal educational presentations both in office and virtually
    • Advocate and initiate clinical discussions with prescribers (MD, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Physician’s Assistant) as directed by customer
  • Plan and execute live or virtual patient educational programs compliantly per customer expectations and guidelines
  • When requested by National Director, assist with the development and review of educational material to be utilized by professional and lay customers
  • Collaborate with National Director, Field Manager, and customer in developing and implementing territory and project business goals, objectives, and marketing strategies
  • Attend regional and/or national meetings as required and apply the knowledge gained in day-to-day execution within the CNE’s territory
  • Communicate regularly with customer counterparts to collaborate and provide appropriate patient support and education
  • Promptly respond to all internal and external communications
  • Complete all reports, documentation, and other required tasks, training, and assignments in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner
  • Understand and adhere to all IQVIA and customer compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain current and unencumbered RN license
  • Communicate appropriately and compliantly during all patient and HCP interactions
  • Utilize feedback from professional colleagues and customers to assure information disseminated to patients and HCPs is accurate and clinically sound
  • Stays current in clinical developments in the field of Multiple Sclerosis
  • Develops and maintains advanced presentation skills to facilitate the dissemination of clinical information to internal and external customers
  • Maintains the highest level of professional standards in all interactions with customers and other business contacts
  • Will be required to pass and maintain Multiple Sclerosis specialty certification

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Demonstrates sound judgment regarding utilization of time and financial resources
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

The potential base pay range for this role is $115,000-$120,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
