Our client is looking for an experienced Brand Lead. If you are looking for your next career step within the marketing field and are keen to join a high performing team which nurtures collaboration, agility and accountability this role is the one for you.
The Marketing Team reports directly into the Business Unit Manager.
The Brand Lead position is a critical role within the Irish business as you will support very important brands in Oncology and will contribute actively to our next success.
Role overview
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the brand strategy and implementing the operational plan. You will act as the brand ambassador for Ireland, leading marketing activities and bringing the cross functional brand team together.
You will work closely with our Sales Managers to ensure in-field activities alignment with the brand strategy, to embed operational excellence in in-field activities and to gather insights informing the strategy.
You will support with the strategic brand planning by driving generation of insights across the Oncology portfolio and leading the execution of the tactical plan in the field.
Key responsibilities
- Lead activities for the Oncology portfolio by working with the cross functional team and with external vendors
- First point of contact for the sales-force to ensure alignment of activities in the field with the Brand strategy and with the segmentation
- Delivery of specific projects/initiatives to support the Oncology portfolio
- Work in collaboration with the Marketing Associate
- Excellent team player
Budget
- Collaborate with the Marketing Associate to ensure budget tracking across the cross-functional brand team
Marketing leadership
- Ensures effective and continued development of cross functional brand team working
- Acts as Ireland brand ambassador maintaining an engaging communication with in-field teams, encouraging best practice sharing across the territory, supporting local initiatives
- Embed multichannel customer engagement
- Supports the Business Unit Manager with sophisticated analysis and interpretation of data, trends and insights to re-evaluate and continually inform and refine strategy
- Utilises market research, and high deep understanding of leading industry practices to challenge and innovate marketing practices and develop advocacy
- Excellent understanding of the code and regulatory environment ensuring activities and materials are compliant with the IPHA code of practice
- Excellent team player in the General Medicine business unit to encourage best practice sharing across brands
Operational Brand Planning
- Drives development and delivery of the operational brand plan
- Drives execution of market segmentation, tailor marketing communication plan
- Collaborates with medical affairs, market access and public affairs to align activities on brand strategy
- Challenges status quo and current ways of working
- Appetite to fully own activities
Basic qualifications
- Marketing qualification (degree with professional marketing qualification e.g. CIM/MII or similar)
- Degree with science background
Minimum experience
- Oncology experience
- Proven previous commercial experience in Pharma (marketing or strategy)
- Strong analytical capability
- Fully fluent in regulatory framework and IPHA code of practice
- Experience of working in a cross functional team – Influence a team without reporting line authority
- Experience of working with multichannel including digital
- Ability to communicate to and influence all departments of organization
Preferred experience
- Experience with Zinc/PromoMat/Veeva
- Field sales (with documented success)
- Location
- Dublin based with flexibility for working from home (1 or 2 day/week) after
