30+ years in the medical industry starting in nursing, progressing to Nursing Sister and more recently into medical sales.  

What is your role at IQVIA? 
I work as a Medical Sales Representative on the commercial side specialising in specific therapy areas interfacing with a wide range of medical professionals advising and promoting on key products.

What’s the best thing about your job? 
The best thing about my job is that I set my own agenda, there is nothing I like more than to be out in the field, helping people to improve their lives. No day is the same, there is huge variety and allows me to build long and trusted relationships with my customers.

How long have you been working at IQVIA?
2 years 

What career opportunities have you had since working for IQVIA? 
I have been asked to step up into a hospital sales position within Cape Town due to my robust skills and background. Coming from nursing has helped me to emphasize with my customers and provide key insights into improving patient health.

What development opportunities have you gained working for IQVIA?
IQVIA promotes a strong Self-learning ethic and I also regularly act as a mentor to more junior team members which has given me huge satisfaction to pass on my learnings.
