Government Affairs and Tender Manager

Essential Functions:

Government Affairs

• Develop and maintain relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze government policies, regulations, and legislative developments affecting the company.
• Advise internal teams on government affairs strategies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Tender Management

• Lead the end-to-end tender process, including identifying tender opportunities, preparing documentation, and submitting proposals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
• Ensure all tender documents comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with government agencies, clients, and partners to understand their needs and expectations.
• Represent the company in meetings, forums, and industry events to enhance visibility and build relationships.

Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to ethical standards, legal requirements, and industry regulations in all government affairs and tender activities.
• Conduct periodic compliance assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.

Risk Management

• Identify and assess potential risks associated with government affairs and tender processes.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.

Strategic Planning

• Contribute to the development of strategic plans related to government affairs and tendering.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on market trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of government affairs and tender-related activities.
• Prepare regular reports on the status of ongoing government affairs initiatives and tender submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Public Health, Public Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in government affairs, public relations, or tender management, preferably within pharmaceutical sector
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian pharmaceutical government processes, regulations, and tendering procedures.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with compliance and risk management principles.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
